I
am Judgmental and I’m going to offend you
You are a hypocrite!
Actually, So am I!
Christian, you say you love Jesus but you love
yourself more.
You say you do things for God’s glory but you are
actually doing them to make yourself look good so others will admire your so called
“good works”.
Yes, it is true, the Bible says we were created to
do good works, yet, if we analyze it down to our humility zone, we will find
out that some of our good works can still be prideful and qualify as filthy
rags. (Caveat - Jesus changed our hearts, attitudes and spiritual condition)
This
is what God intended:
For
we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God
prepared in advance for us to do. (Ephesians
2:10)
This
is the reality of our sin nature:
All
have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does
good, not even one." (Romans 3:12)
All
of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like
filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us
away. (Isaiah 64:6)
You say you love God’s Word, yet you tolerate sin.
You tolerate sin because you don’t want to be unloving
to sinners. However, the truth is, when you tolerate sin you are being unloving to
sinners. You love your neighbor by telling them God loves them but hates their
sin.
The
reasons why we should not remain in our sin: (sin is evil and destructive)
Therefore
do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires.(Romans 6:12)
The
wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23)
Do
not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness (Romans 6:13)
But your
iniquities have separated
you from your God;
your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear. (Isaiah 59:2)
you from your God;
your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear. (Isaiah 59:2)
Everyone who sins
breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness. (1 John 3:4)
but each person
is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. Then,
after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is
full-grown, gives birth to death. (James
1:14-15)
You
don’t love God cause you hate others:
Whoever claims
to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love
their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have
not seen.
(1 John 4:20)
Could
this be You? Or, is this once a picture of who you once were?
Your politics has become your religion
Your stuff is more important than people
You love idols
You are so full of yourself
Your gossip is evil
You undermine others and that makes you feel good
You are a liar
You are a sociopath
Your Political Correctness is more important than
the truth
Your “Church” is a playground for fools and you
deceive others with your false humility
You really don’t care about people, so hurting
others doesn’t bother you
You assign others to do your dirty work
You oppose God even while working for Him
You accuse others of wrong doing yet you are blind
to your own transgression
You say you love God, yet curse Him with your evil
deeds
The
“Bad News”: (God does not approve of your sin)
Jesus
replied, "Very truly I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. (John 8:34)
When
you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear:
sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, idolatry, sorcery, hostility,
quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension,
division, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me
tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not
inherit the Kingdom of God. (Galatians 5:19-21)
The
Gospel message is foolishness to unbelievers:
The
message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we
who are being saved know it is the very power of God. (1 Corinthians 1:18)
Share the hope
you have this way:
But in your
hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to
everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do
this with gentleness and respect,
(1
Peter 3:15)
The effect of Jesus' work on a believers spiritual condition:
And
because you belong to him (Jesus), the power of the life-giving Spirit has
freed you from the power of sin that leads to death. (Romans 8:2)
For
we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin
might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin (Romans 6:6)
What
we are called to do in light of our sin nature:
Then he called
the crowd to him along with his disciples and said, "If anyone would come
after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever
wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me and for
the gospel will save it." (Mark
8:34-35)
Since you have heard about Jesus
and have learned the truth that comes from him, throw off your old sinful
nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. Instead,
let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature,
created to be like God—truly righteous and holy. (Ephesians 4:21-24)
So
put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do
with sexual immorality, impurity, lust, and evil desires. Don’t be greedy, for
a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world.
Because of these sins, the anger of God is coming.
( Colossians
3:5-6)
The difficulties followers of Jesus can expect:
In fact,
everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted,
(2 Timothy
3:12)
In this world
you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." (John 16:33)
In fact,
everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted
(2 Timothy 3:12)
The Trials we
face have a good purpose:
And we know that
in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been
called according to his purpose. (Romans
8:28)
Therefore, since
we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord
Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in
which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. Not
only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that
suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And
hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our
hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. (Romans 5:1-5)
Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,
whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of
your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its
work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of
you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without
finding fault, and it will be given to you. (James 1:2-5)
Now, the “Great News”:
But
God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners,
Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8)
In him we have redemption through
his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s
grace (Ephesians 1:7)
When
you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made
you alive with Christ. He
forgave us all our sins (Colossians 2:13)
But
if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship
with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.
If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and not living
in the truth. But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to
forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.( 1 John
1:7-9 )
Thank you Jesus! Thank you for your righteousness!
Thank you for covering our sin with your Blood! Help us live a life that honors
and reflects who you truly are. Fill us with Your amazing love, grace,
compassion and mercy. And, may we love like you love.
Just Sayin …………….Dave
