Gospel of John Bible Study - Lesson 1
Read the passage
below using the 2 different Bible translations:
John
1:1-5 New International Version (NIV)
The Word Became Flesh
1 In the beginning
was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He
was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all
things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.4 In
him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The
light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
John
1:1-5 Living Bible (TLB)
1 1-2 Before anything
else existed, there was Christ,* with God. He has always been alive and is
himself God. 3 He created everything there
is—nothing exists that he didn’t make. 4 Eternal
life is in him, and this life gives light to all mankind. 5 His
life is the light that shines through the darkness—and the darkness can never
extinguish it.

during Jesus’ 3 year ministry and was a witness to Jesus’ death on the Cross

third day he would come back to life (read verse below)
